Music on the Rise , Inc. is a non-profit organization started some five years ago with the intent of offering the opportunity for musicians who play music that is representative of the heritage and cultural experience in the Washington DC area to perform and to offer the public an opportunity to experience this music. The Washington Area is geographically rather small, and yet because it is the home of the federal government the area has attracted people from all regions of the country and places in the world. That has made Washington DC Area music a cultural melting pot.
